If your feet are free, try to step on the accelerator or the break to make the car move erratically. This will hopefully cause enough worry from others on the road they will call the police. If you do cause an accident, let it be on your turns. Make sure your speed is slow enough not to harm yourself or others. This meeting place should be very visible and public, thus leaving no opportunity for a would-be attacker to gain an unacceptable advantage. This method has additional advantages for personal safety because meeting the date, as opposed to being given a ride, allows one to have access to their own transportation, and are not left at the mercy of potentially dangerous suitors. Do not carry any dangerous weapons in your purse like guns or knifes. The thief could use the weapons against you. Women's self defense does little good when your own gun or knife is pointing at you. Also carrying weapons in your purse might be against the law. It would also be sad if that weapon was stole from you and another person was hurt with it. No matter if you live in an urban or rural area or if you are rich or poor, domestic abuse is apart of live and without the knowledge of women's self defense; you are seeding the problem that you or your children will be harmed or killed. Domestic abuse crosses the barriers of race, religion, or socio-economic status. The incidences of sexual assault to girls under twelve years of age are in the high thousands. That is just the ones that are reported and not the ones that go unnoticed. The sad thing is that perpetrators in most cases are there brothers, fathers, or uncles. There are cases of female on female abuse, but that is even less reported. The single woman who is having an early dinner with friends may believe her parking spot is ideal because it secluded and her new car will not be damaged. However, upon exiting the restaurant at a later time, she now finds that her car is in a dark and dangerous place. It is imperative that a woman look at the environment she places herself in.
